Our church family became more acutely aware of the fact that there is a large percentage of people around us every day who will come to church if someone invites them to do so. God is using this awareness to encourage our church family to be more sensitive to people and to simply invite friends, co-workers, family and neighbors to join them at church.

Approximately 200 households have expressed interest in our church – families with whom we will be able to follow up and target for opportunities to share Christ and ministry. As a result of our calls, there are approximately 5,000 homes within one mile of our church who know that we are in the neighborhood and that we care about them.

We had our Harvest day three Sundays ago. Last week, we had 2,002 in worship, the first time we have ever been over 2,000 with no emphasis.

We have completed delivering gifts to the 287 families that said they were coming to the luncheon. Eight-six (86) percent of the homes visited were rated by our visitation teams as “Hot” or “Warm.” Even the fourteen (14) percent that were rated “Cold” were primarily men who answered the door whose wives were probably the interested parties.

This past Sunday, we had six first guests of which four were a result of phone calls. Sunday night we were able to introduce one of them to the Lord via phone and have arrangements to visit another. We hear about good things transpiring each week.

It is such a great privilege to get in on what God is doing in the lives of people. We are trying to keep our eyes open for surely the fields are ripe for the Harvest.”
