Despite our many programs, initiatives, and best intentions statistics compel us to confront the stark reality that we (the church) have been largely ineffective at penetrating the ranks of the un-churched. Many churches have lost their passion for the lost,content in giving first rate loyalty to second rate priorities.

In our beloved denomination, adult baptisms have been in decline for over a decade. And real growth, not just moving attendees from church to church, has relatively plateaued or declined. It is alarming. It is disheartening. It is time to evaluate our strategy and adjust our tactics.

Last year, I became involved with Harvest Unlimited, an organization with an outreach program that has demonstrated incredible and measurable results helping churches reach their community and reach the un-churched.

Testimonies are shared by churches experiencing renewed vitality and commitment to outreach and evangelism. Their churches are growing as the un-churched, by the dozens, are becoming connected to the church - their lives and eternal destinies forever impacted.
